Moving to Southlake, Texas
With 37,000 people in a 21 square mile area, Southlake has much to offer relocating or expanding businesses and the families that come with them. It is close to both the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and Alliance Airport. It is a short drive to either downtown Fort Worth or downtown Dallas. It features high quality homes, and its schools are ranked among the best in the state.
When Ginny Logan answers the phone these days, she often finds herself fielding more and more questions about Southlake. Logan, a senior vice president of relocation services with Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty, heads the firm’s relocation division. She works with corporations interested in relocating to North Texas. “Southlake is a hot bed,” Logan said. “There is a lot of interest in that area.”
The inquiries to her office are about housing and the cost of living as businesses put together operational budgets. And of course, there are always questions about schools, Logan said. It’s another indication of North Texas’ growing economy and the large number of people from the Metroplex who are choosing to live in the western suburbs.
Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty has recently opened an office in Southlake’s popular Town Square where area experts are busy showing homes throughout Southlake and nearby communities in Colleyville, Westlake and Trophy Club and more.
According to Logan calls are coming from a variety of businesses, restaurants and retail businesses, mid-size corporations moving from around the country and professional service firms establishing a new office in the northeast Tarrant County city.
