Sales Are Up in North Texas

From The Star-Telegram: In another sign of a recovering housing market, sales of existing homes in North Texas rose 11 percent in April from a year ago, keeping 2012 well ahead of last year’s sales pace, according to the latest monthly home sales report from the Texas A&M Real Estate Center.
Sales reached 6,426 homes in the area and the median price was $157,000, or 9 percent above April 2011, the report said.
Moreover, sales were pending on 6,513 homes, 13 percent more than a year ago… Sales from January through April were up 14 percent from the same period in 2011, with a median price of $150,000, a 6 percent increase.
In Tarrant County, sales of condos and townhomes were strong in downtown Fort Worth, as were home sales in Euless, Keller and Watauga.
